From 28th to 30th April 2025, representatives of the 7th contingent of the Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency visited the structural units of the Ludza and Viļaka boards of the State Border Guard. The purpose of the visit was to get acquainted with the experts of the Frontex standing corps deployed to Latvia, as well as to discuss daily cooperation with State Border Guard officials. At the end of the visit, the commander of the 7th contingent noted that it was a great opportunity to visit various structural units of the State Border Guard, to be convinced of the strong cooperation of the parties involved and their dedication to jointly ensure the security of the external borders of Latvia and the European Union.
