On 20th March, 2024, rotation of experts took place in the Joint Operations coordinated by the Frontex Agency within the 3rd operational period, which is marked by the several Frontex Agency's Standing Corps expert’s deployment in Latvia.
51 Frontex Agency Standing Corps experts are deployed in the Border Control and Border Surveillance units of the State Border Guard, who provides significant support in ensuring border control measures.
At the same time, the State Border Guard contribution in the Joint Operations coordinated by the Frontex Agency is 48 State Border Guard officers, of which 21 officers starting from 20th March, 2024 are additionally deployed in Greece, Albania and Romania as individual experts (for example, dog handler with a service dog, registration and fingerprinting expert, border surveillance expert, information officer), as well as crew members of technical assets (coastal patrol boat, fixed wing aircraft).
