On Saturday, November 26, 2022, officials of the State Border Guard of the Republic of Latvia detected 42 offenders on both external borders and within the country.

20 trespassers were detected on external borders, including:

  • entry to the Republic of Latvia was refused to seven foreigners

at the “Vientuļi” and “Terehova” border control points, entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused to one citizen of Ukraine as a foreigner was not in possession of a valid visa or residence permit, and to three citizens of Moldova, as foreigners could not justify the purpose and circumstances of their travel and stay. For security reasons, one citizen of Russia, one citizen of Moldova, and one citizen of Ukraine were denied entry into the Republic of Latvia. People were returned to their countries of origin.

  • conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area were violated by two foreigners

two citizens of Ukraine were detected at the “Riga” Airport border control point for violating the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen area (exceeding the duration of stay specified in a visa or a visa - free regime). People were subjected to administrative liability.

  • exit from the Republic of Latvia was refused to three citizens of Latvia

at the „Riga” Airport” border control point, three citizens of Latvia departing for London without valid travel documents required for entry into Great Britain were detected. People were prohibited from leaving the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected by four people - two citizens of Lithuania, one citizen of Estonia, and one citizen of Pakistan.

Within the framework of vehicle and vessel operations, 17 people were subjected to administrative liability or were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia - five citizens of Belarus, four citizens of Latvia, two citizens of Russia, two citizens of Poland, one citizen of Kazakhstan, one citizen of Moldova, one citizen of Serbia, and one citizen of Germany.
