Saturday, March 14, 0 persons were stopped from illegally crossing the border between Latvia and Belarus, while a total – 36 persons have been stopped this year.
Officials of the State Border Guard detected 33 offenders at external borders and within the country. 4 trespassers were detected at external borders. While conditions of residence were violated by 1 foreigner. One citizen of Russia was detected at the „Riga” Airport Border Control Point, for violating the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen Area Countries (was not in possession of valid travel document). Record-keeping regarding the administrative violation committed by the citizen of Russia was not initiated.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected for 9 persons – two citizens of Lithuania, two – of Ukraine, one – of Latvia, one -of Estonia, one – of Great Britain, one – of Nigeria and one – of Sudan.
Within the framework of vehicle and vessel operations, 20 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia – four citizens of Belarus, three – of Latvia, three – of Lithuania, two – of Kyrgyzstan, two – of Moldova, two – of Uzbekistan, one – of Russia, one – of Estonia, one – of Kazakhstan and one – of Mongolia.
