Monday, July 20, 39 persons were stopped from illegally crossing the border between Latvia and Belarus, while a total – 8346 persons have been stopped this year.
Officials of the State Border Guard detected 28 offenders at external borders and within the country. 14 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused to 6 foreigners
at the „Riga” Airport and the Terehova Border Control Points, entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused to three citizens of Uzbekistan, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay; to one citizen of Kyrgyzstan, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document; as well as entry into the Republic of Latvia was refused to two citizens of Lithuania due to security reasons. The persons were returned to the countries of departure.
exit from the country was refused to 2 citizens of Latvia
at the „Riga” Airport Border Control Point two minor citizens of Latvia, leaving the country for Antalya, who did not have the other parent's notarized consent for the child to leave the country, were detected. The persons were banned from leaving the country.
Within the framework of vehicle and vessel operations, 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused the right to enter the Republic of Latvia by officials of the State Border Guard of Latvia – four citizens of Moldova, two - of Belarus, two – of Russia, one – of Belgium, one - of Kazakhstan, one – of Mongolia, one – of Romania, one – of Tajikistan and one – Germany.
