On 11th June 2025 a regular rotation of experts was carried out within the framework of the 6th operational period of joint operations coordinated by Frontex, the European Border and Coast Guard Agency.
56 State Border Guard officers provide operational support to Croatia, Serbia, Estonia, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Moldova, the Czech Republic, Germany, Albania, Poland, Greece, Rumania, Spain, Slovenia, Montenegro and Italy within the framework of joint operations coordinated by Frontex. The State Border Guard officers carry out their duties abroad as experts in the following areas: Border Surveillance experts, First and Second-line border checks experts, Motor Vehicle Crime Detection officers, Screening experts, Interviewing experts, Advanced Level Document officers, Information officers as well as crew members for technical equipment (including Offshore Patrol Vessel and Coastal Patrol Boat).
At the same time, 51 Frontex Standing Corps officers from Estonia, Lithuania, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Austria, Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Finland, Slovakia and the Netherlands are deployed in the Border Control and Border Surveillance units of the State Border Guard. Off-road patrol vehicles from Germany, Czech Republic, the Netherlands, as well as from Frontex are involved in the implementation of border surveillance activities on the Latvian-Russian border.
