On Friday, September 6 State Border Guard officials at the external border and inside the country detected 44 offenders.

At the external border 23 offenders were detected, including:

• 5 foreigners are refused to entry

At "Riga" Airport Border Control Point one citizen of Uzbekistan was refused to entry Latvia on the purpose of lack of valid visa or residence permit, at Silene Border Control Point, in its part, 4 citizens of Belarus were refused to entry Republic of Latvia on the purpose of not possessing valid obligatory health insurance policy, as well as on the reason of lack of sufficient means of subsistence for visiting Schengen member states. All persons were returned to the country of departure.

• 4 overstayers were detected

At Terehova and Paternieki Border Control Points were detected 2 citizens of Belarus, 1 citizen of Russia and one citizen of Ukraine who overstayed the permitted stay (visa expiration, absence of valid visa or residence permit, violation of permitted stay of visa free regime) on the territory of Schengen states. Persons were subjected to administrative processing.

• 1 non-citizen of Latvia was refused to exit the country

At Terehova Border Control Point was detected one non-citizen of Latvia with travel document which is not valid for travelling outside the territory of Schengen zone. Person was refused to exit Latvia.

Operating Immigration control inside the country 9 persons were detected who violated entry or residence regime: 3 citizens of Ukraine, 2 Estonian citizens, 2 citizens of Tajikistan, one Lithuanian and one Russian citizen.

State Border Guard officials detected 15 persons who violated exploiting of vehicles and vessels: 4 Latvian, 3 Belarussian citizens, 2 citizens of Moldova, 1 Russian, 1 Ukrainian, 1 Lithuanian, 1 Estonian, 1 German and one Korean citizen.
