On Tuesday the 30th of October, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 33 offenders at external borders and within the country.

15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Azerbaijan with forged documents was detected

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Azerbaijan, entered Latvia by car, was detained for use of forged Azerbaijani vehicle registration certificate. The person was returned to the country of exit.

3 persons, who are on the police wanted list, were detained

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, leaving the country, and at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, entered the country, as well as at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, leaving the Riga for Doncaster, who are on the police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1977, 1981 and 2000, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 3 citizens of Georgia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of ASV (woman) was refused entry into Latvia as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. While at the Pededze Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of life and health compulsory insurance policy. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of India, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Ukraine.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 7 citizens of Belarus, 2 -of Latvia and 1 - of Lithuania.
