On Sunday the 25th of October, 2020 the State Border Guard's officials detected 21 offenders at external borders and within the country.
10 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
- 1 person with forged documents was detected
At the Paternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Lituania entering Latvia by car, who presented forged Russian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. The forged Vehicle Insurance Policy was seized.
- 3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia
At the Silene Border Control Point 2 citizens of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner did not possess valid visa or residential permit, while at the Airport “Rīga” Border Control Point 1 citizens of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 1 citizen of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability or were refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard - 6 citizens of Belarus, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 – of Germany, 1 – of Russia and 1 – of Ukrain.
