On Wednesday, 17 October, officials of the State Border Guard at the external borders and within the country detected 36 offenders.

At the external borders 18 offenders were detected, including:

Detected 1 citizen of Azerbaijan with false documents

At Terehova Border Control Point detected 1 citizen of Azerbaijan travelling by car with forged vehicle registration certificate. Person was subjected to administrative liability.

Detected 3 citizens of Latvia in search

At "Riga" airport Border Control Point detected 2 citizens of Latvia traveling from Doncaster and 1 citizen of Latvia travelling to Glasgow, who were in the police search. Men, born in 1969, 1962 and 1998, were detained and handed over to the State Police officials.

Entry to Latvia was denied to 2 foreigners

At "Riga" airport Border Control Point entry to the country was denied to 2 citizens of Georgia as the foreigners had no entry and residence permit in the territory of Schengen states. Persons were returned to the country of departure.

Breach of the stay requirements identified to 1 foreigner:

At "Riga" airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was detected who had violated residence regulations in the territory of Schengen states (exceeded period stated in visa). Person was subjected to administrative liability.

Immigration control measures inside the country, violations of entry or stay regulations were detected to 8 persons - 1 citizen of Lithuania, 2 of Ukraine, 2 of Estonia, 1 of Iraq, 1 of Moldova and 1 of USA.

On infringements in the field of vehicle and vessels operations, the State Border Guard officials have called for administrative liability 10 persons - 5 citizens of Russia, 2 of Moldova, 1 of Azerbaijan, 1 of Lithuania and 1 of Estonia.
