On Wednesday the 16th of October, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 37 offenders at external borders and within the country.

24 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with forged documents was detected

At the Vientuļi Border Control Point 1 citizen of the Czech Republic, who presented forged Czech Passport and forged Czech ID, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents. The man was placed in the State Police short-term detention facilities.

4 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; as well as 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 3 citizens of Russia and 2 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (female), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 4 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Moldova.
