On Sunday the 13th of October, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 39 offenders at external borders and within the country.

28 trespasser were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Lithuania, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Lithuania leaving Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1989, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

14 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova, the Grebņeva, the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Ukraine, 3 - of Kazakhstan, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 7 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the Terehova and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 2 - of Moldova and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (female), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 persons - 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Belarus, 1 - of France, and 1 - of Latvia.
