On Monday the 8th of October, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 33 offenders at external borders and within the country.

21 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered from Moscow, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1989, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

9 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus, 1 - of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Pakistan were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country, and 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 4 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Georgia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Georgia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 2 citizens of Poland and 1 - of Belarus.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Belarus, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Ukraine.
