On Friday the 5th of October, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 50 offenders at external borders and within the country.

32 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Ukraine with forged documents was detected

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine, leaving Latvia by car with forged Ukrainian driving licence, was detected. Criminal proceeding were initiated for using forged documents.

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, leaving the country, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1972, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

8 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova and the Silene Border Control Points 4 citizens of Mongolia and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, and 1 citizen of Tajikistan was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. At the Pededze Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia (woman) was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of life and health compulsory insurance policy. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Estonia, 2 - of Uzbekistan, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - Belarus and 1 - of German.
