On Thursday the 4th of October, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 52 offenders at external borders and within the country.

16 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 7 foreigners

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Uzbekistan, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Tajikistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Tajikistan was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 20 persons - 11 citizens of Ukraine, 6 - of Moldova, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Belarus.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Latvia, 4 - of Russia, 3 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of German and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
