Events at the state border and within the country - November 15, 2019

On Friday the 15th of November, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 26 offenders at external borders and within the country.

18 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with forged documents was detected

At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kirgizstan leaving Latvia, who presented forged Bulgarian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

1 person, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered the country from London, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1984, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Armenia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Azerbaijan was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Georgia, 2 - of Uzbekistan and 1 - of Australia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Latvia and 1 - of Belarus.
