On Thursday the 15th of November, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 42 offenders at external borders and within the country.
18 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:
1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detainedAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered the country from London, who is on the police wanted list was detected. The man, born in 1970, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.
4 foreigners were refused entry into LatviaAt the Pāternieki Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreignersAt the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 3 citizens of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country, violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 12 persons - 4 citizens of Estonia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of India, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - Estonian non-citizen.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of Germany and 1 - of Austria.
