Events at the state border and within the country - November 09, 2019

On Saturday the 9th of November, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.

21 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

At the Zilupe Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the "Riga" Airport and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 2 citizens of Pakistan and 5 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Iraqi and 1 - of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of at least one parent's agreement for her independent travelling outside Latvia, as well as 1 citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of Belarus.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 14 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Tajikistan.
