On Thursday the 8th of November, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 52 offenders at external borders and within the country.

26 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

6 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Silene, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 2 citizens of Belarus and 2 - of Ukraine were refused entry into the country as they could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 4 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukraine and 1 - of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the persons was not commenced.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 15 persons - 6 citizens of Ukraine, 5 - of Estonia, 2 - of Russia, 1 - of India and 1 - of Lithuania .

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 11 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Azerbaijan and 1 - of Belarus.
