On Friday the 31st of May, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.

22 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

7 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. At the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 4 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. While at the Terehova Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners were not in possession of compulsory health insurance policy. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreigners

At the Terehova Border Control Point 5 citizens of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 3 citizens of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 non-citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the Zilupe Border Control Point 1 non-citizen of Latvia, whose passport is not valid for travelling outside the Schengen area, was detected. The woman was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 2 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Latvia, 2 - of German, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Ukraine.
