On Thursday the 30th of May, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 48 offenders at external borders and within the country.

19 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

3 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detained

While carrying out check on passengers list at the Port of Ventspils, 2 citizens of Latvia entered Latvia from Sweden, who are on the Police wanted list, were detected. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered from Edinburg, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The men, born in 1984, 1993 and 1996, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

4 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 3 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; as well as 1 citizen of Sri Lanka was refused entry into the country, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Ukraine, 1 -of Pakistan and 1 - of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 13 persons - 4 citizens of Ukraine, 3 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Gambia, 1 - of India, 1 - of Latvia and 1 person without a certain status.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Lithuania, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Serbia, 1 - of Poland and 1 - of Belarus.
