On Thursday the 23rd of May, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 46 offenders at external borders and within the country.

30 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Lithuania with forged documents was detected

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Lithuania entered Latvia, who presented forged Moldovan Vehicle Registration Certificate, was detected. Criminal procedure were initiated for use of forged documents. The forged documents were seized within the framework of criminal procedure.

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

Carrying out passenger profiling at the Riga Passenger Port 1 citizen of Latvia entered from Sweden, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1995, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

5 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Serbia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. While at the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 4 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 8 foreigners

At the Terehova, the Grebņeva and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Belarus, 5 - of Tajikistan and 1 - of Armenia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 2 citizens of Tajikistan and 1 - of Armenia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia (female), who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 12 persons - 4 citizens of Ukraine, 3 - of Moldova, 3 - of Uzbekistan and 2 - Lithuania.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 4 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 1 citizen of Ukraine, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Latvia.
