On Tuesday the 21st of May, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 38 offenders at external borders and within the country.

18 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

9 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova and 1 - of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit; 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. While at the Silene, the "Riga" Airport and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus and 5 - of Ukraine were refused entry into the country, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 - of Russia and 1 - of China.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 17 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 5 - of Lithuania, 3 - of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia and 1 - of Serbia.
