At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Serbia entered Latvia by car was detained for use of forged Russian driving license. The criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents. The man was placed in a State Police short-term place of detention.At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered from London and 1 citizen of Latvia entered from Dublin, who are on the police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1988 and in 1983, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Paternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Ukraine and 1 citizen of India were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the Schengen zone as well as they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Russia.
