On Wednesday, the 12th of May State Border Guard officials at the external border within the country detected 42 offenders.

At the external border 6 offenders were detected:

  • Entry into Latvia was denied to 2 foreigners

At the Paternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner violated Cabinet of Ministers Regulation No. 360 "Epidemiological precautions to control the spread of Covid - 19 infection", while at Airport “Riga” Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldov was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner  could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country The persons were returned to the exit country.

  • Violations of resident conditions was detected to 1 foreigner

At the Grebneva Border Control Points 1 citizen of Belarus, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (was not in possition of valid visa or residence permit), was detected. Person was subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 35 persons – 12 citizens of Latvia, 6 – of Poland, 4 – of Russia, 5 – of Russia, 3 – of Belarus, 1 – of Estonia, 1  -of Bulgaria, 1 – of France, 1 – of Italy, 1 – of Kyrgyzstan, 1 – of Slovenia, 1 – of Tajikistan, 1 – of Uzbekistan and 1 – of Germany.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability or was refused to cross the border by officials of the State Boarder Guard – 4 citizens of Belarus, 1 – of Latvia, 1 – of Russia, 1 – of Lithuania and 1 – of Ukrain.
