On Saturday the 5th of May, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 41 offenders at external borders and within the country.
11 trespassers were detected at external borders, including: 3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia. At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of the Great Britain was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. While at the Silene and the Pāternieki Border Control Points 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country as well as they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 12 persons - 10 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Ukraine and 1 - of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 18 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Latvia, 3 - of German, 2 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Belarus and 1 - of Estonia.
