On Friday the 4th of May, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 42 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia exiting Latvia for Morocco, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1977, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit country.At the Grebņeva, the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 citizen of Sri Lanka, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 2 minor citizens of Latvia, who were not in possession of notarially certified agreement of the second parent for their independent travelling outside Latvia, were detected. The persons were refused exit from Latvia.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 4 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 21 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Russia, 6 - of Latvia, 4 - of Belarus, 3 - of Lithuania, 1 - of German and 1 - of Estonia.
