On Thursday the 3rd of May, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 26 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 non-citizen of Latvia exiting Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1966, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document to enter the Latvian territory, and 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states and he could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country.While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Tajikistan was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 4 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Uzbekistan.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Sweden, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Poland, 1 - of New Zealand and 1 - of Lithuania.
