On Sunday the 18th of March, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 36 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Terehova Border Check Point 1 Belorussian citizen, who showed forged Russian vehicle registration certificate was detected. Criminal proceedings for use of counterfeit documents were started. Person born in 1995 was arrested and places at the State Police Short - term Detention Center.At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered from London and 1 citizen of Latvia, entered from Doncaster and who are on the police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1994 and in 2001, were detained and handed over to the State Police officers.At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, while at the Patrenieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukrain was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. Persons were returned to the countries of exit.At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kazakhstan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (residence after expiry of residence permit indicated in visa), was detected. Person was subjected to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 12 persons -10 citizens of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 stateless person of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Estonia, 2 - of Russia, 2 -of Belarus, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Slovakia.
