On Wednesday the 14th of March, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 18 offenders at external borders and within the country.
9 trespassers were detected at external borders, including at the Paternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukrain was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states but at the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the countries of exit.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions was detected to 1 citizen of Estonia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 8 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Estonia, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Uzbekistan.
