On Sunday the 11th of March, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 43 offenders at external borders and within the country.
14 trespassers were detected at external borders, including at the Paternieki Border Control Point 8 citizens of Ukrain were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states and could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country. The persons were returned to the countries of exit.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Belarus.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 24 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 12 citizens of Belarus, 4 - of Latvia, 3 - of Lithuania, 3 - of Russia, 1 - of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Estonia.
