On Wednesday the 7th of March, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 38 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, entered from Doncaster and who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1985, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of USA was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner not in possession of valid travel document, at the Terehova Border Control Point 2 citizens of Tajikistan and 2 - of Russia, were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit but at the Paternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Bealrus, was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons were returned to the countries of exit.At the Zilupe and Paternieki Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Ukrain and 1 - of Moldova, who violated the conditions of residence (residence after expiry of residence permit indicated in visa, absence of valid visa or residence permit) in Schengen countries. Persons were subjected to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 7 persons - 3 citizens of Estonia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - Russia and 1 - of Belarus.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Lithuania, 4 - of Russia, 1 - of Uzbekistan, 1 - of Israel and 1 - of Azerbaijan.
