Events at the state border and within the country - June 29, 2019

On Saturday the 29th of June, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 48 offenders at external borders and within the country.

24 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Great Britain, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Great Britain entered Latvia from London, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1955 was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

10 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Zilupe Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 3 - of Moldova and 2 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of compulsory health insurance policy. While at the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has a ban to enter into and stay in the territory of the Schengen Area. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the Grebņeva, the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the 2 citizens of Russia was not commenced, the citizen of Ukraine was subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of valid travel document, was detected. The person was refused exit from the country.
While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 6 persons - 2 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Austria and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 18 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Russia, 4 - of Lithuania, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Kirgizstan and 1 - of Latvia.
