On Sunday the 9th of June, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 52 offenders at external borders and within the country.

26 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 citizens of Latvia, who are on the police wanted list, were detained

While checking passenger lists, at the Port of Ventspils 2 citizens of Latvia entered from Sweden, who are in the Police wanted list, were detected. The men, born in 1967 and 1991 were detained and handed over to State Police officers.

1 foreigner was refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The person was returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

1 citizen of Latvia was refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 minor citizen of Latvia, who was not in possession of at least one parent's agreement for her independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from Latvia.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 11 persons - 6 citizens of Lithuania, 4 - of Estonia and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Poland, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Sweden and 1 - of Finland.
