On Saturday the 8th of June, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 35 offenders at external borders and within the country.

17 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with forged documents was detected

While carrying out profiling of passengers at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Syria entered Latvia, who presented forged Rumanian ID, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for the use of forged documents. The person was placed in a State Police short-term place of detention.

8 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of India were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki Border Control Point 6 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 2 persons - 1 citizen of Lithuania and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 16 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - of Ukraine, 2 - of Estonia, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of German and 1 - of Latvia.
