Events at the state border and within the country - June 05, 2019

On Wednesday the 5th of June, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 38 offenders at external borders and within the country.

15 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

2 foreigners with forged documents were detected

At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Kirgizstan entered Latvia by truck with trailer, who presented forged Bulgarian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. The forged document was seized, the person was subject to administrative liability. While at the Port of Ventspils 1 citizen of Iraq entered Latvia from Sweden, who presented forged travel document, was detected. Criminal proceedings were initiated for the use of forged documents.

1 citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia entered Latvia from London, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1987, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states; and 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into the country, as the woman was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to a foreigner

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia (female), who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), was detected. The person was subject to administrative liability.

2 citizens of Latvia were refused exit from the country

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Sweden (female) and 1 citizen of Latvia, who were not in possession of valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from the country.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 3 - of Russia and 2 - of Uzbekistan.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Latvia, 3 - of Russia, 2 - of Moldova, 2 - of German, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Azerbaijan.
