On Wednesday, 25 July, officials of the State Border Guard at the external borders and within the country detected 53 offenders.

At the external borders 20 offenders were detected, including:

Detected 1 citizen of India with forged documents

At Terehovas Border Control Point 1 citizen of India trying to entry Latvia with forged residence permit of Greece was detected. The residence permit made invalid, the person returned to the country of exit.

Entry into Latvia was denied to 6 foreigners

At Terehovas and Pāternieku Border Control Point entry to the country was denied to 1 citizen of Moldova as she didn't have valid travel document at her possession, to 1 citizen of Belorussia and 1 citizen of Russia, as they didn't have valid visa or residence permits, and to 1 citizen of Ukraine, as the foreigner was not able to justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay and did not have sufficient livelihoods for visiting Schengen countries. Meanwhile at "Riga" airport Border Control Point entry to the country was denied to 2 citizens of Georgia as they did have ban to enter and to stay in the territory of Schengen states. Persons were returned to the country of departure.

Breach of the stay requirements identified to 1 foreigner:

At "Riga" airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Great Britain was detected who had violated residence regulations in the territory of Schengen states (did not have valid travel document). Administrative proceedings in administrative violation case was not initiated to the person.

Exit from the country was denied to 1 citizen of Latvia

At "Riga" airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Latvia was detected, who didn't have valid travel document. Person was denied to leave the country.

Immigration control measures inside the country, violations of entry or stay regulations were detected to 18 persons - 11 citizens of Ukraine, 1 of Lithuania, 2 of Russia, 2 of Estonia and 1 of India.

Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, the State Border Guard officials detected offenses committed by 15 persons - 4 citizens of Latvia, 3 of Estonia, 3 of Russia, 2 of Belorussia, 1 of Great Britain, 1 of Ukraine and 1 of China.
