On Tuesday, 24 July, officials of the State Border Guard at the external borders and within the country detected 57 offenders.

At the external borders 31 offender was detected, including:

Detained citizen of Latvia in search

At the "Riga" airport Border Control Point was detected one citizen of Latvia traveling to Aberdeen , who was in police search. The man, born in 1970, was detained and handed over to the State Police officials.

Entry into Latvia was denied to 11 foreigners

At Grebņevas and Zilupes Border Control Points entry to Latvia was denied to 1 citizen of Russia and 1 citizen of Kazakhstan as they didn't have valid visa or residential permits at their disposal; at "Riga" airport, Pāternieku and Silenes Border Control Points entry to Latvia was denied to 8 citizens of Ukraine as they were not able to justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay and did not have sufficient livelihoods for visiting Schengen countries; meanwhile at Terehovas Border Control Point entry to Latvia was barred to 1 citizen of Moldova as the foreigner had a ban to enter and to stay in the territory of Schengen countries. Persons were returned to the countries of their departure.

Breach of the stay requirements identified to 9 foreigners:
At Terehova, Grebņevas and "Riga" airport Border Control Points detected 5 citizens of Russia, 2 of Georgia, 1 of Belorussia and 1 of Kazakhstan, who had breached residence regulations in the territory of Schengen states (didn't have valid visa , exceeded the duration of stay). Administrative proceedings in administrative violation case were not initiated to 2 citizens of Georgia and 1 citizen of Russia, other persons were subjected to administrative liability.

Immigration control measures inside the country, violations of entry or stay regulations were detected to 10 persons - 5 citizens of Estonia, 3 of Lithuania, 1 of Turkey and 1 of Russia.

Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, the State Border Guard officials had called to administrative liability 16 persons - 3 citizens of Latvia, 3 of Russia, 3 of Belorussia, 2 of Ukraine, 2 of Lithuania, 1 of Kuwait, 1 of Poland and 1 of Russia.
