On Sunday, 22 July, officials of the State Border Guard at the external borders and within the country detected 45 offenders.

At the external borders 18 offenders were detected, including:

Detected 3 persons with forged documents.

At Grebņevas Border Control Point detected 1 citizen of Russia who was leaving Latvia by car, who presented forged Russian International vehicle insurance policy. For the use of forged documents criminal proceedings were launched. Russian International vehicle insurance policy was alienated. At Indras Border Control Point detected 2 citizens of Senegal who, using forged Schengen residence permits, where trying to enter Latvia. Persons were subjected to administrative liability and returned to the country of departure.

Entry into Latvia was denied to 1 foreigner

At Pāternieku Border Control Point entry to Latvia was denied to 1 citizen of Ukraine, as the foreigner couldn't justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay and did not have sufficient livelihoods for visiting Schengen countries. Person returned to the country of departure.

Breach of the stay requirements identified to 10 foreigners:

At Pāternieku Border Control Points detected 7 citizens of Azerbaijan, 2 of Russia and 1 of Tajikistan, who had violated residence regulations in the territory of Schengen states (didn't have valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the stay period indicated in visa). Administrative proceedings in administrative violation case were not initiated to 2 citizens of Russia and 1 of Azerbaijan, other persons were subjected to administrative liability.

Immigration control measures inside the country, violations of entry or stay regulations were detected to 6 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania, and 2 of Estonia.

Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, the State Border Guard officials detected offenses committed by 21 person - 7 Russia, 2 Latvia, 4 Belorussia, 3 Ukraine,2 Lithuania, 2 Netherlands and 1 Estonia citizen.
