On Friday, 20 July, officials of the State Border Guard at the external borders and within the country detected 45 offenders.

At the external borders 22 offenders were detected, including:

Entry into Latvia was denied to 10 foreigners

At Terehovas Border Control Point entry to Latvia was denied to 1 citizen of Uzbekistan, as the foreigner did not possess valid visa or residential permit; at Indras, Pāternieku and
"Riga" airport Border Control Points entry to Latvia was denied to 7 Ukrainian citizens, as foreigners couldn't justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay and did not have sufficient livelihoods for visiting Schengen countries; at Grebņevas Border Control point entry to Latvia denied to 1 Ukrainian citizen, as the foreigner had already stayed 90 days from the last period of 180 days in the territory of Schengen states, meanwhile in Liepāja harbor entry to Latvia was denied to 1 Ukrainian citizen (sailor), as the foreigner had interdiction to enter and reside in the territory of Schengen states. In regards to the sailor the affirmation from the ship captain was received, that the man, during the ship's stay in Liepāja harbor, will not leave the vessel; other persons were returned to the countries of departure.

Breach of the stay requirements identified to 4 foreigners:

At "Riga" airport Border Control Point detected 2 citizens of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan, who had violated residence regulations in the territory of Schengen states (did not have valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the stay period indicated in visa). Persons were subjected to administrative liability.

Exit from the country denied to 1 citizen of Latvia.

At "Riga" airport Border Control Point detected 1 Latvian citizen , who didn't have a valid travel document. Person was denied to leave the country.

Immigration control measures inside the country, violations of entry or stay regulations were detected to 4 persons - 2 Lithuanian, 1 Ukrainian and 1 Polish citizen.

Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, the State Border Guard officials detected offenses committed by 19 persons - 6 Russia, 3 Ukraine, 2 Belorussia, 2 Lithuania, 1 German , 1 Moldova, 1 Latvia, 1 Israel, 1 Estonia and 1 Belgium citizen.
