On Sunday, 15 July, Officials of the State Border Guard at the external borders and within the country detected 54 offenders.

At the external borders 31 offender was detected, including:

One Latvian citizen in search was detained

One Latvian citizen was detected at "Riga" Airport Border Control Point, who was planning to go to London while he was on a police search. A man, born in 1998, was detained and handed over to the State Police officials.

Entry into Latvia was denied to 16 foreigners

Entrance to Latvia via the Border Control Points of Pāternieki and "Riga" airport was barred to eleven citizens of Ukraine and two citizens of Georgia as they were not able to justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay and did not have sufficient livelihoods for visiting Schengen countries, while the entry to Latvia via Terehovas Border Control Point was denied to one Ukrainian citizen, as the foreigner had already exceeded visa period of stay in the territory of the Schengen area, and to two Moldovan citizens as the ban to enter and reside in the territory of the Schengen area was in force. Persons returned to the countries of departure.

Breach of the stay requirements identified to 4 foreigners:

At Terehova, Pāternieku and "Riga" Airport Border Crossing Points two Russian, one Belarussian and one Ukrainian citizen were detected who had violated residence regulations in the territory of Schengen states (exceeded the duration of stay , didn't have valid visa or residence permit). Persons were subjected to administrative liability.

Immigration control measures inside the country, violations of entry or stay regulations were detected to 3 Estonian citizens.

Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, the State Border Guard officials detected offenses committed by 20 persons - 10 Russian, 3 Belarussian, 3 Latvian, 2 Moldovan, 1 German and 1 Estonian citizen.
