Events at the state border and within the country - July 14, 2019

On Sunday the 14th of July, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 42 offenders at external borders and within the country.

28 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner with forged documents was detected

At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Uzbekistan entering Latvia by truck with trailer, who presented forged Bulgarian International Vehicle Insurance Policy, was detected. The forged documents were seized.

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus and 1 - of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Georgia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and he was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 6 foreigners

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 4 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Azerbaijan and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the 4 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Azerbaijan was not commenced, the citizen of Ukraine was subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 4 citizens of Lithuania and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 3 citizens of Latvia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Moldova, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Germany.
