On Wednesday, 11 July, officials of the State Border Guard at the external borders and within the country detected 47 offenders.

At the external borders 29 offenders were detected, including:
Entry into Latvia was denied to 5 foreigners

Entrance to Latvia via the Border Control Point of Pāternieki and "Riga" airport was barred to 2 Georgian and 2 Ukrainian citizens as they could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry and stay, as well as did not have enough livelihoods for visiting Schengen countries, and to one Georgian citizen who had a ban to enter and reside in the territory of the Schengen area. Persons returned to the country of departure.

Violations of stay regulations were detected to 5 foreigners

At the Border Control Point of "Riga" airport 2 citizens of Tajikistan, 1 of Georgia, 1 of Russia and 1 of Ukraine were detected having violated stay regulations in the territory of the Schengen area (exceeded visa period of stay, did not have valid visa or residence permit in their possession). Persons were subjected to administrative liability.


Immigration control measures inside the country, violations of entry or stay regulations were detected to 2 persons - 1 Lithuanian and 1 Tunisian citizen.

Within the framework of vehicles and vessels operation, the State Border Guard officials detected offenses committed by 16 persons - 5 Russian, 2 Belarussian, 3 Latvian, 1 Moldovan, 1 German, 1 French, 1 Lithuanian, 1 Polish and 1 Estonian citizen.
