On Monday the 9th of July, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 41 offenders at external borders and within the country.

27 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

• 1 citizen of Russia with forged documents was detected

At the Grebņeva Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia, entered Latvia by vehicle and presented forged Russian vehicle registration certificate, was detained. The criminal proceedings were initiated for use of forged documents.

• 10 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid travel document. At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, 1 citizen of India (female) and 7 - of Ukraine were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country, as well as they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

• Violations of resident conditions were detected to 7 foreigners

At the Grebņeva, the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 6 citizens of Russia 5 women and 1 man) and 1 citizen of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 1 citizen of Uzbekistan was not commenced as the violation was trivial in nature, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

• 1 Latvian non-citizen was refused exit from Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 non-citizen of Latvia, who intended to leave Riga for Split with not valid travel document, was detected. The woman, born in 1987, was refused exit from Latvia.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 4 citizen of Lithuania and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 2 citizens of Estonia, 2 - of Russia, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Moldova and 1 - of Belarus.
