Events at the state border and within the country - July 08, 2019

On Monday the 8th of July, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 45 offenders at external borders and within the country.

25 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 non-citizen of Latvia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 non-citizen of Latvia entered Latvia from Copenhagen, who is on the Police wanted list, was detected. The man, born in 1986 was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

4 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Grebņeva and the Silene Border Control Points 3 citizens of Russia and 1 - of Belarus were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 3 foreigners

At the Silene and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia, 1 - of Belarus and 1 - of Ukraine, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa, exceeded the period of stay of the visa-free regime), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 5 persons - 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Latvia and 1 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 15 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Lithuania, 3 - of Belarus, 3 - of Latvia, 2 - of German, 1 - of Estonia, 1 - of Austria and 1 - of Russia.
