On Tuesday the 3rd of July, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 48 offenders at external borders and within the country.

23 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

3 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Canada was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. While at the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Ukraine and 1 - of Moldova was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners could not justify the purpose and conditions of entry into and stay in the country and they were not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 8 foreigners

At the Terehova and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 5 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Tajikistan and 1 - of Uzbekistan who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by 2 citizens of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

2 persons were refused exit from Latvia

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Latvia, who were not in possession of valid travel document, were detected. The persons were refused exit from Latvia.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 13 persons - 6 citizens of Belarus, 4 - of Russia and 3 - of Estonia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 12 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 5 citizens of Belarus, 3 - of Russia, 1 - of Finland , 1 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Bulgaria and 1 - of Estonia.
