On Monday the 2nd of July, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 40 offenders at external borders and within the country.

17 trespassers were detected at external borders, including:

1 citizen of Estonia, who is on the police wanted list, was detained

At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 1 citizen of Estonia leaving Riga for Rijeka, who is on the police wanted list, was detected. The woman, born in 2001, was detained and handed over to the State Police officers.

2 foreigners were refused entry into Latvia

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia were refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigners were not in possession of valid visa or residence permit. The persons were returned to the exit countries.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 5 foreigners

At the Pāternieki and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 2 citizens of Russia, 1 - of Belarus, 1 - of Armenia and 1 - of Uzbekistan, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits, exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. Record-keeping regarding administrative violations committed by the citizen of Armenia and 1 citizen of Russia was not commenced, the other persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 3 persons - 1 citizen of Lithuania, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 20 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 6 citizens of Russia, 6 - of Belarus, 2 -of Latvia, 2 - of Lithuania, 1 - of Serbia, 1 - of France, 1 - of Italia and 1 - of Kirgizstan.
