Events at the state border and within the country - January 27, 2019

On Sunday the 27th of January, 2019 the State Border Guard's officials detected 27 offenders at external borders and within the country.

10 trespasser were detected at external borders, including:

1 foreigner was refused entry into Latvia

At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukraine was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The persons was returned to the exit country.

Violations of resident conditions were detected to 2 foreigners

At the Zilupe and the "Riga" Airport Border Control Points 1 citizen of Russia and 1 - of Brazil, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (exceeded the period of stay laid down in a visa), were detected. The persons were subject to administrative liability.

While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 8 persons - 5 citizens of Lithuania, 2 - of Estonia and 1 - of Russia.

For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 3 - of Latvia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Belarus.
