On Friday the 26th of January, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 33 offenders at external borders and within the country.

At the Silene Border Control Point 1 citizen of Belarus was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner has resided on the territory of Schengen member states for 90 days within the previous 180-day period. The person was returned to the country of exit.At the "Riga" Airport Border Control Point 2 citizens of Russia, who violated the conditions of residence in the territory of the Schengen states (were not in possession of valid visas or residence permits), were detected. The record-keeping regarding administrative violations, committed by the Russian citizens was not commenced.At the Terehova Border Control Point 1 minor Latvian citizens, who was not in possession of notarially certified agreement of the second parent for his independent travelling outside Latvia, was detected. The person was refused exit from Latvia.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 9 persons - 3 citizens of Lithuania, 3 - of Estonia, 2 - of Russia and 1 - of Latvia.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 9 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Russia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Ukraine, 1 - of Estonia and 1 - of Lithuania.
