On Wednesday the 24th of January, 2018 the State Border Guard's officials detected 34 offenders at external borders and within the country.
12 trespassers were detected at external borders. At the Pāternieki Border Control Point 1 citizen of Ukrain was refused entry into Latvia, as the foreigner was not in possession of sufficient means of subsistence to visit the Schengen states. The person was returned to the exit country.While carrying out immigration control measures within the country violations of entry or residence conditions were detected to 12 persons - 6 citizens of Estonia, 2 - of Latvia, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of India, 1 - of Ukrain and 1 of Lithuania.
For violation of terms and conditions in the field of operation of vehicles and vessels 10 persons were subjected to administrative liability by officials of the State Boarder Guard of Latvia - 4 citizens of Estinia, 2 - of Belarus, 1 - of Latvia, 1 - of Russia, 1 - of Lithuania and 1 - of Georgia.
